About me

In addition to being a psychologist and a Jungian analyst trainer, I also have a degree in Foreign Languages with an emphasis on literature. I began my career at the age of 21, teaching English to teenagers and adults at the Brazil-United States Cultural Association, among other institutions. I have always been interested in those students who had some difficulty with the English language, and have found that, for the most part, the cause was emotional. Although I have not worked in this area for a few decades, I bring the experience of listening between worlds with me. In my journey, I have traveled the world, lived in Seattle (USA), worked at Saint James Cathedral as a volunteer English teacher for immigrants from several countries; did volunteer psychopedagogical work at the Jardín Infantil de Las Damas Argentinas with children aged 3 to 5  in Asunción (PY). I also gave lectures to expatriates married to Souza Cruz executives working in Havana, Cuba, and taught groups on Creative Aging and gave lectures at the International School of Havana for parents of teenage students. I also spent some time traveling inside and outside Brazil, and I currently live in Seville, Spain. These experiences have inscribed themselves in my soul, expanding my listening.

I believe we are chosen by the area in which we work. I look back at my career and realize how important each experience I have had has been for my professional path: the experience of learning how to communicate in a language that is not your native language, the flexibility of thought and the strategies we need to use for communication to happen… living in countries with cultures that are different from ours, the need to adapt while keeping the essence of our soul. And the transitions… from teenager to young adult; from daughters and sons to mothers and fathers; fathers and mothers to grandfathers and grandmothers; the transition in mid-life, female and male aging, the role of menopause in this transition… marrying someone from another culture, who speaks a different language and has experiences different from ours… we are beings in constant transition, but we do not always realize it. If you are in a moment of transition and are looking for psychological counseling, get in touch. I will be happy to walk with you.
